Recent events in the series have teased that a new arc will kick off soon, but it all remains to be seen how it works out for Naruto, Boruto, and all the other shinobi from here on out. While the anime is still making its way through the original material, the manga release of the series is working its way through a new arc following the events of the fight with Ishiki. The Hokage serves as the head of the Leaf Village, and its thanks to Narutos heroism and goal to 'connect' with everyone that made him a respectable Hokage, even after his son Boruto was born. In terms of the village's appearance, Takigakure seems to be based on mostly Southeast Asian aesthetics. Takigakure (, Takigakure no Sato Literally meaning 'Village Hidden in a Waterfall') is a village located in an unnamed country. It is this gamble that eventually allows Naruto and the others to defeat Ishiki once and for all, but with Kurama’s sacrifice after the use of the form, Naruto is still more vulnerable than ever in the franchise. With the sequel taking place after the events of Masashi Kishimoto’s original anime and manga franchise, fans were able to see how much had changed in the years since the end of Naruto’s series.
